Dietary Supplements in Health and Disease

Dietary supplements are widely available, often with exaggerated claims. However, evidence supports their benefits in specific diseases and populations. This talk explores the therapeutic use of vitamin E in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), focusing on the molecular mechanism of hepatic lipid reduction. It also examines how dietary supplements are used during lactation and how this varies across different dietary patterns. Finally, the accuracy of AI chatbots for supplement-specific information will be discussed.
