Advocacy Groups

Equal Opportunity Officers are the points of contact for faculty members and faculty committees on all matters of equal opportunity. Faculty members can contact them with complaints about discrimination or sexual harassment. In addition, they represent the University Equal Opportunity Officers in staffing and appointment procedures and assist the Dean in the preparation of the Faculty Equal Opportunity Report.

Office for Equal Opportunities at the University of Hohenheim

Ombudspersons are contact persons and persons of trust for specified topics. Their responsibilities include documenting serious suspicions or accusations and relating these to the respective scientific institution. If requested, they can also mediate in cases of conflict. The ombudspersons work in strict confidence and completely independently.

Graduate Council at the University of Hohenheim

A student council is formed at the faculties as a student committee of the faculty council. A student council consists of six members.

The student council takes care of the faculty-related study matters of the students as well as the tasks according to § 2 Abs.3 LHG (social promotion of the students) on faculty level. These tasks include the promotion of the "intellectual, artistic and sporting interests of the students".

A student council is formed from the student representative bodies. The members of the General Student Committee (AStA) belong to the Student Council with an advisory vote.
